ENFIELD – Barbara M. (Blanchette) Ouellette, 83, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 4, 2020 at St. Mary’s Home in West Hartford. Born in Stockholm, ME, daughter of the late Auguste and Alma (Beaupre) Blanchette, she was a graduate of Caribou High School in Caribou, ME. She moved to Enfield in 1960. Barbara had worked at the former Southwood Pharmacy and retired as a bank teller from Peoples Bank. She enjoyed bowling, reading, and had been active with the Enfield Little League. She loved the Mets, the Jets, and animals, especially her cat, Tish. Her husband, Gerald V. Ouellette died in 1994 and a son, Alan M. Ouellette died on November 18, 2020. She was also predeceased by four brothers, Damien, Michael, John and Hector Blanchette, and a sister, Annette Bouchard. She leaves a son and his wife, David G. Ouellette and Sherry A. Gage of Middletown, a daughter, Jodi L. Ouellette of Enfield, three sisters, Jacqueline Clark of Madawaska, ME, Bibiane Wolski of Cincinnati, OH, Pauline Saucier of Bristol, seven grandchildren, David Ouellette, Michelle Maynard, Jennifer Miller, Paul, Jeremy, Conner and Rhianna Ouellette, nine great-grandchildren, Morgan, David, Kyle, Jayden, Zachary, Anthony, Dominic, Sophia, Rocco and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 11:30am at the Browne Memorial Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, followed by burial in Hazardville Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the service on Wednesday from 10:30 – 11:30am. Masks and social distancing protocols are required.
