Bernard M. LaValley, 73 of Suffield, CT passed away peacefully in his sleep early Monday morning October 23, 2023. Bernard leaves behind his brother Randy LaValley, his three sons Michael A. LaValley, Matthew B. LaValley and Jacob D. LaValley. He also leaves behind his four grand children Bryce LaValley, Camerynn LaValley, Evelyn LaValley and Arlo LaValley. From 1969 – 1971 Bernard served in Vietnam and was a recipient of a Bronze Star. He was married to his wife Carolyn H. LaValley for 43 years until her passing in August 2022. Bernard was a very loving, kind and honest man. Anyone who knew him enjoyed his sense of humor and witty banter. In his younger years, Bernard was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with family and friends. His intellect was vast and there wasn’t much he didn’t know. To many, Bernard was known as Papa and his smile and laughter could fill anyone’s heart. Bernard always kept his faith strong for those he loved and always shared it with others. He will be missed and loved dearly. His loved ones will always leave a light on, so he can always find his way home.

Visting hours will be at Browne Memorial Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd Enfield on Saturday October 28th from 9:00 to 11:00 am with a Memorial Service at 11:00 am. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery on Bridge St in Suffield.
