Obituary for Carol Ann Dumesnil (Stroiney )

Carol A. (Stroiney) Dumesnil, 81, of Enfield, beloved widow of Ernest Dumesnil, to whom she was married 54 years, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 21, 2022. Carol was born on December 26, 1940 in Harford, CT, daughter of the late Andrew and Eileen (Cote) Stroiney.
Carol was a school bus driver when her children were young and later held several positions with the town of Enfield, first for Dial a Ride and later at the Enfield Day Care Center.
Carol spent many years traveling with her husband and later with her children, family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, playing bingo and cards, and was an avid fan of UCONN Basketball.
Carol is survived by her six children: Mary & Martin Powers of Tolland, Arthur Dumesnil of Enfield, Cathleen & Thomas Kuzara of Ashford, Michele Dumesnil & Tim Noble of Ellington, Joann & Robert Welch of Ellington and Amy Paige of Ellington, twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, her two sisters, Andrea Campbell of Enfield and Kathleen McDonagh of West Springfield, MA, her brother, Thomas Stroiney of Enfield and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Dumesnil family will receive relatives and friends during calling hours on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Browne Memorial Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd, Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at 11:30 am in St. Bernard Church, 426 Hazard Ave, Enfield (meet at church). Burial will follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Enfield.
