ENFIELD - Christine R. (Samson) Pelletier, 54, of Spring Hill, FL, passed unexpectedly on Saturday, April 20, 2019. She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Wayne and Ramona (Espinosa) Samson, the second youngest of five siblings. At a young age, Christine’s family relocated to Enfield, where she spent most of her childhood and adult life until she relocated to Spring Hill, FL in 2008. Master Sergeant Christine Pelletier joined the United States Navy after graduating from Enrico Fermi High School in 1983, and piloted the base commander’s boat at Naval Base Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. Christine went on to serve her country overseas in a year tour for Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) in 2004 working with the US Embassy with the US Army in the 143rd ASG. She continued her time as a GS 12 in the military after moving to Florida, where she worked for Central Command as a Senior FOIA/Privacy Act Analyst with US CENTCOM J6-RDF at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa. Christine went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Touro University International in Cypress, CA in 2009. Christine’s military decorations include the Medial of Merit (CT National Guard), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, (1 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (1 OLC), Afghanistan Campaign Medal and Iraq Campaign Medal. Christine was known to always have a smile on her face. with an unforgettable laugh. She had lots of hobbies including golf, taking her boat out on the weekends with friends, taking her mom out shopping and enjoying an occasional Captain Morgan and Diet Coke or Tito’s on the weekends. Most importantly, Christine enjoyed spending time with her family, both in Florida and Connecticut. Christine’s grandchild, Ave Nicole was the pride and joy and light of her life. Christine cherished each and every moment she spent with her. Along with many nieces and nephews who she loved and greatly adored, Jessica and Billy Jones were very special and near and dear to her heart. She is survived by her husband of twenty years, David Maurice Pelletier, her parents, Wayne John and Ramona (Espinosa) Samson, two sons, Royce Yeomans, III of South Windsor, Matthew Yeomans and his wife Jessica of Smyrna, TN, her granddaughter, Ava Nicole Pelletier, her siblings, Debbie Wright and her husband Trent of Enfield, Cindy Jones and her husband Dan of Ellington, Dwayne Samson of Enfield, Stephen Samson of Ellington and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the Browne Memorial Chapels, 43 Shaker Road from 1-4pm followed by a service at the funeral home at 4pm. A celebration of Christine's life will follow the service at the funeral home, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 371 Washington Rd. Enfield, CT beginning at 5:00 p.m. to whenever.
