Obituary for Christopher "Chris" J. Singer

Christopher "Chris"  J.   Singer
Christopher “Chris” J. Singer, of Ashford, passed from his earthly journey unexpectedly, at the age of 50, on Wednesday (November 26, 2014). He was the beloved husband of 28 years to Lynn K. (Kredar) Singer and loving father of Nicholas B. Singer. Christopher was born on February 27, 1964 in Stafford Springs, CT, the son of Robert Singer and the late Beverly (Smith) Singer, grew up in Enfield and was a 1982 graduate of Enrico Fermi H.S., in Enfield. He resided in Ashford for the past 15years and in Ellington and Enfield before that. Chris was formerly employed by Enfield Ford, Mosler Safe & Lock, Middletown and Diebold, Windsor for several years.
He was a member of the Arboristsite.com. Chris loved the outdoors and spent numerous hours working on his property and building a new house from scratch. He enjoyed refurbishing chain saws, woodworking, welding, fabricating and amusement parks. He was a master of all trades and if he didn’t know how to build or repair something he taught himself. He had a heart of gold and was always putting others needs before his own, he enjoyed spending time with his family especially with his son Nick, who was his pride, joy and buddy.
Along with his wife, Lynn, his son, Nicholas and father Robert Singer, he is also survived by his two sisters Lori Mell & husband Joe of Wilbraham, MA and Kimberly Singer of Windsor Locks, and several nieces and nephews, his mother-in-law Gale Walk of Enfield, two brothers-in-law Kenneth Kredar and Michael Kredar & his companion Michele.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family on Sunday (Nov. 30, 2014) during calling hours from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield,
Funeral Services will take place on Monday (Dec. 1, 2014) at 11:00 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels with Fr. John Melnick officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazardville Cemetery in Enfield. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Nicholas B. Singer Educational Fund.
