Obituary for Claire L. Poirier (LeBrun)

Claire L. Poirier, 90, of Enfield passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 9 at home with family at her side. Claire was born on April 11, 1931 in Taunton, MA to the late Oscar and Lea (LaPlante) LeBrun. She was the beloved wife of the late George A. Poirier.
Claire lived a full life in which she was both loving and well loved. For over sixty years she and husband, George, were each other's strength and joy. They called each other, "my kins". Though they frequently traveled, their love of time together was always more important than the destination. They kept things simple. The modest house they bought over sixty years ago was all they needed to raise their four children. But their love and pride made it all work. To them, his gardens were always beautiful; her meals were always the best; and their children always gave them reason to boast.
Claire passed surrounded by the care of her surviving children. By now she's reunited with her Kins - no more trips are planned, but what a wonderful journey it all was.
Claire leaves behind her children, Debra Corbin and husband, Thomas, of Myrtle Beach, SC, Denise Baum and her husband, Michael, of Pomfret, CT; and Sandra Campbell and husband, Anthony, of Canton CT; and 10 grandchildren, Andrea O'Neill, Caitlin Fulda, Tanner Poirier, Travis Poirier, Kristen Xeller, Michael Baum, Matthew Baum, Wyatt Campbell, Noah Campbell and Elise Campbell. Claire also leaves behind 10 great grandchildren. Claire was the sister of Richard LeBrun of Taunton, MA and Irene Vaillancourt of Enfield, CT. Claire was predeceased by her son, George R. Poirier and her brother, Robert LeBrun.
Services are private. Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield has been entrusted with arrangements.
