Obituary for Claire M. Petrone (Boutin)

Claire M. (Boutin) Petrone, 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 27, 2022. Born December 23, 1930, in Chicopee, MA, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Alvina (LaBreque) Boutin. Claire graduated from the former Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Springfield where she received her nursing degree. She was employed as a registered nurse at Wesson Women’s Group in the NICU then transitioned to caring for premature infants. Claire enjoyed playing cards with her brothers and sisters, watching Judge Judy, and listening to her audio books. She had a profound love for family and always welcomed those to share stories with a glass of wine. Claire loved to sing songs in French around the dinner table and shared many memories of her travels with her siblings to Aruba. She spent many summers camping in New York with the family and was a very competitive bingo player. She is survived by her three children, Carla Gamber, Victor Petrone, and Valarie Ainsworth and her husband Russell; seven grandchildren, Frederick Gamber, Leann Key-Wallace, Nicholas Petrone, Christina Savedge, Danielle Petrone, Amanda Petrone, and Andrea Ainsworth, and eleven great grand-children, Logan Flagg, Madelynn Gamber, Gabriel Key-Wallace, Abigail Key-Wallace, Kenna Gamber, Caelan Gamber, Atlas Petrone, Violet Petrone, Ethan Petrone, Samuel Spurgeon, and Joseph Spurgeon as well as many adored nieces and nephews. Claire was predeceased by her husband Victor Petrone, 5 brothers; Albert Jr., Gilbert, George, Ernest, and Armand as well as 5 sisters; Alvina Senecal, Hilda Lozier Stopera, Loretta Tubbs, Theresa Misner, and Pauline Davies. There are no calling hours. Mass of Christian Burial for Claire will be celebrated on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 10 am at St. Patrick’s Church, 64 Pearl St., Enfield Link for the service: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83813884322?pwd=UjZJMGpHOUk5b3BTMFUxcDJaWkxHUT09, followed by a burial at St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Claire may be made to the Enfield Loaves and Fishes, 23 N Main Street Enfield, CT 06082-3443.
