Obituary for Claire A. Ruvolo (Daley)

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Claire Alice Ruvolo (Daley.) Claire was welcomed into heaven on October 6, 2022. Born in Hartford, CT on September 25, 1931, Claire lived in Windsor, CT until she married and moved to Enfield, CT.
Claire was a beautiful woman in every way. Her sweet smile, bright eyes, loving nature and great kindness will be missed by many.
Claire loved angels, butterflies, and the color blue. She wore blue angel pins on her clothing, and wherever you looked in her home, bright, colorful butterflies could be seen. Claire was a devote Catholic, and believed strongly in prayer, the Holy Mass, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and the Rosary, all of which she participated in daily.
We will miss Claire’s sense of humor and heartwarming laughter. It was the little things in life that she enjoyed most…visiting with family and friends, eating her favorite pasta dish, browsing in stores, giving and receiving great hugs, and the casino!
Claire was married to the love of her life, Frank Joseph Ruvolo for over 45 years. Together they raised four children in a wonderful neighborhood filled with tons of fun! Claire was an amazingly wonderful neighbor and friend. She would make meals, clean the house, and watch over the children of anyone who was sick or in the hospital.
Claire was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank; her sister, Ann; brother, Richard; and parents, Joseph and Alice, as well as many members of her husband’s family.
Claire leaves behind her adoring children; Mary McCarthy, and her husband Dan; Cindy Lurie and her former husband, Steve; Karen Brzezowski, and her husband David; and Michael Ruvolo, and his wife, Tracey. She also leaves behind her beautiful grandchildren; Jennifer, and her husband Jay; Jessica, and her husband, Michael; Ali, and her husband, Mark; Mike, and his wife, Becca; Frankie, Nicki, Brielle, and her husband, John, and Danay.
In addition, Claire was a great grandmother to Collin, Cadance, Lily, Audrey, Wendy, Rian, Shiloh, Asher, and Easton. Claire also leaves many wonderful nieces, nephews, and friends.
Claire’s family would like to thank the staff and “family” at Suffield by the River for their love, care, and many kindnesses shown her during her stay with them.
“God has raised you up on angel’s wings, Mom, and now you are soaring with them, and with those you have loved and gone before you. You are forever with us in heart, thought, and prayer, and our love for you will never end. Be at peace, Mom. Be full of joy, and know that you have been well loved, and have loved well.”
Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Sunday, October, 9 2022 2 to 5 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022 with the funeral procession forming at the funeral home at 11:00 am to Holy Family Church (St. Jeanne Jugan Parish) Enfield.
