David Lawrence Taravella, 74 of Somers, entered into eternal rest, on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center Hartford, CT. He was born on Sept. 26, 1944 in Hartford, CT, a son of the late Lawrence and Columbia (Ceccarini) Taravella.
He was a lifelong resident of the greater Hartford area, having graduated from Windsor Locks H.S. Prior to retiring David was a local self-employed contractor. He loved his kids and grandkids, riding his motorcycle, telling jokes and making others laugh, his sense of humor would light up the room where ever he went.
David is survived by his children, David & Jeffrey Bittner of Allendale, NJ, Dina Cochran of Feeding Hills, MA, Amanda & Brian Pizzimenti of Somers, CT, Justin & Jessica Taravella of Ludlow, MA and Dan & Sue Taravella of Enfield, CT, his beloved grandchildren, Anthony & Aaron Goodin, Mishka Pizzimenti, Lizz & Belle Taravella, and Alyssa Taravella, his cherished great grandson, Niklas Goodin and a brother, Lawrence Taravella of Windsor, CT.
Funeral services are at the convenience of his family.
