George V. Kilbride, Jr., 77, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday February 9, 2021 in the comfort of his home with loved ones at his side. George was born on October 6, 1943 in Springfield, MA, the son of the late George and Grace (Phaneuf) Kilbride and resided in Springfield. He was educated at Northeastern University and Western New England College. He served his country honorably with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. George was employed by United Technologies/Carrier as a Senior Sales Engineer for over twenty years. He was a resident of Suffield for the past thirty-five years. George is survived by his loving wife of over forty years, Katherine (Libiszewski) Kilbride, his two daughters and their husbands, Georgianna & Matthew Karlak of Plymouth, CT, and Erin & Brendon Bowler of Enfield, his six beloved grandchildren, also a brother and his wife, Tom and Julie Kilbride of The Villages, FL, two sisters, Christine Kilbride & her husband Phil of Ocala, FL, and Kathy & her husband Mike Kallman of The Villages, FL,
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 11:30 AM in Sacred Heart Church, 446 Mountain Road, Suffield, CT. The burial will at a later date in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA. Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society 701 Russell Rd. Newington, CT 06111.
