Gloria A. (Plewa) Carville, 68 entered eternal life on October 19, 2018 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with a devastating illness.
A resident of Southwick Mass, Gloria grew up in Enfield CT and was the daughter of the late Frank and Sophie Plewa. She had worked for many years and retired from Hallmark Cards in Enfield CT.
Gloria enjoyed traveling, especially anywhere near an ocean and has been many places around the world. She spent much of her summers camping in Rhode Island at the Worden Pond Family Campground where she had numerous good times with friends. Gloria was also an avid music lover and frequented many concerts throughout her life. She loved to dance and had a laugh that was both loud and contagious. Most of all Gloria was devoted to her family. She was strong and courageous throughout her life.
Gloria was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 23 years Robert “Bob” Carville. She is survived by her loving and care giving daughter Kristin Carville of Southwick, a devoted son Jeffrey Carville of Millbury MA, and her grandson Nicholas Carville who was the light of her life. Her thoughtful and kind companion Ron Caplette who has put fun and excitement into her life for the past ten years and lifelong friends Mike and Liz Chaloux.
She is also survived by a brother Peter Plewa and his wife Sheree. A brother-in- law William Carville of Enfield, Nephews Thomas Plewa of Enfield, James Plewa and wife Janet. Her Aunt, Doris Plocharczyk of Enfield and many cousins near and far.
The family would like to thank Amy and Marie for making her last few months as comfortable as possible. Gloria requested that services are private. Burial will be at Saint Adalbert’s Cemetery in Enfield.
