Gregory B. Donovan, 74, of Vernon, entered into eternal rest, on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of 53 years to Rosemary L. (Powers) Donovan. Gregory was born on Dec. 15, 1947 in St. Stevens New Brunswick, Canada to the late Karl and Marie (Lagel) Donovan, he had resided in Vernon and prior to that in Broad Brook & Enfield. Gregory was employed with Amerbelle Textile, Vernon, having retired in 2012 after 38 years of service. He was a member of the TKB Club in Vernon. Gregory loved bowling, was an avid NY Yankee’s fan, enjoyed watching wrestling, and was a hard worker.
He was a very devoted and loving, husband, father and grandfather.
Besides his wife Rosemary, he is survived by his two sons, James Donovan & wife Denise, and Tommy Donovan both of Vernon, his beloved grandchildren; Stella Donovan, Bradley Donovan, Laly, Jeffrey, Chantel & Bianca, Joey, Jordyn, Brianna, Adriana, Michael and the rest of the grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers & sisters-in-law, Wayne & Faye Donovan of Redland, CA, David & Luz Donovan of New Hartford, CT, and Louis & Debbie Donovan of Broad Brook, CT, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Peter Donovan, nephews Danny Donovan, Michael Donovan and Timmy Lessard.
Relatives and friends may join his family during calling hours on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm followed by a Prayer Service at Browne Memorial Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Maine.
