Obituary for Henry A. Giguere

Henry A. Giguere, 93, of Glastonbury and formerly of Enfield, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Lucille E. (Brunelle) Giguere. Born January 9, 1929 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to the late Aldor and Augustine (Mainville) Giguere. He had resided in Enfield for 39 years, S. Windsor for 12 years and the past 5 in Glastonbury. Henry served proudly with the U.S. Air Force during the end of WW II. Prior to retiring in 1992 Henry was employed as a machinist and inspector with UTC - Hamilton Standard/Sundstrand for 25 years. A member of St. Martha Church and Honorary Life Member of Knights of Columbus Council 50, Third Degree and was Past Grand Knight ’79-80, also the Fourth Degree William B. Kilcoyne Assembly and its Color Guard. He enjoyed golfing and bowling in his younger years.
In addition to his wife Lucille, he is also survived by his four children; Richard Giguere and wife Lani of Longmeadow, MA, Suzanne Gleason and husband Brian of Coventry, CT, Donald Giguere and wife Lynn of Easley, S. Carolina, and Paul Giguere and wife Jennifer of S. Glastonbury, 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He also leaves a brother George Giguere of W. Palm Beach, FL, half-brothers Bob Giguere of Colorado, Normand Giguere of Rhode Island, half-sisters Alice and Doris both of Vermont, along with many nieces, nephews and family members. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Omer Giguere and a sister Annette Gagne.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 11:00 am in St. Martha Parish, 214 Brainard Rd. Enfield (meet directly at church). Burial will follow in the Hazardville Cemetery with Military Honors.
