Herbert Robert Lincoln, 81, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest at his home on the evening of January, 1, 2021. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Nancy (Danforth) Lincoln. Herbert was born on January 9, 1939 in Springfield, MA to the late Herbert W. and Rose A. (McKillop) Lincoln and had resided in Enfield most of his life for 66 years, also in Azusa, CA with his family for 15 years. He was a graduate of Enfield H.S. and then enlisted into the service for four years with the U.S. Navy. Prior to retirement he was employed with Pacific Mutual and Mass Mutual. Herbert enjoyed gardening, stamp collecting and reading.
In addition to his wife Nancy, he is also survived by his children; Deborah (Lincoln) Bowden & husband Scott of Haddam, CT, Robert Lincoln of Hilton Head, SC, John Lincoln and partner Sheila Baudin of Enfield, Patricia (Lincoln) Pierce and husband Martin of Versailles, KY and Bonnie ( Lincoln) Fenner and husband Brian of Enfield, his beloved grandchildren; Meghan (Bowden) Peterson & husband Dave, their children Marshall & Michael of Haddam, CT, Spencer Bowden & wife Jeanette of Watertown, MA, Holly (Romaniec) Burke & husband Stephen of Winchester, KY, Christopher Mould & partner Desiree of Enfield, CT, Johnny Romaniec of Versailles, KY and Janet Mould of Turlock, CA, his sisters; Ruth (Lincoln) Butler (deceased) her husband Herb Butler of Enfield, and Dorothy (Lincoln) Moriarty & husband Bill of Enfield, CT, along with many nieces and nephews. Services for Herbert will be at the convenience of his family.
