Obituary for Hope L. Frost (Hurd)

Hope Lorraine Frost (Hurd), age 75, of Enfield, CT passed away at home on November 6, 2022, following a long, courageous fight with cancer and chronic health conditions. Hope was surrounded by family who provided her loving and dignified care during her final hours. Hope leaves behind a legacy of strength, bravery and family. Her family will strive to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Hope was born on February 21, 1947 in Laconia, NH, daughter of Alice Tilton and Frank Hurd. She was later raised by her mother Alice and father Wallace E. Tilton. Hope attended school in New Hampshire and later moved to Connecticut where she began to raise a family and found employment. She was a hard worker and was regarded as a loyal and dependable employee at Gas Turbine Corporation, Wood Group Fuel Systems and Sheraton Hotel at Bradley Airport.
Hope’s greatest joy in life was her family. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and furry family members. Her love language was cooking and feeding family and friends. She loved nothing more than making a day of cooking Spanish food or baking brownies or breads and having loved ones enjoy it while gathered around a table. She adored her grandchildren and had a knack for making each of them feel extra special by sending daily memes or chats letting them know she was thinking of them. Hope was a big fan of Christmas and Christmas movies. Once the holiday season began, she often watched Hallmark Christmas movies or Falala Lifetime while wearing her Hallmark Christmas movie slippers and sipping out of her Hallmark Christmas movie cup.
Hope was blessed to have a loving family and friends. She was predeceased by her mother Alice Tilton, father Wallace Tilton, brother Wallace Tilton, friend Sara Schoentag and numerous furry family members who greeted her on The Rainbow Bridge when she left this earthly plane. She leaves behind her sister Dorothy Cillo, her children Tevis Frost of Enfield, CT, Joyce and Mark Farrell of Stafford, CT, Salvador and Debra Martinez of Enfield, CT, Pedro Martinez of Enfield, CT, Luz and Michael Norris of Enfield, CT, her grandchildren Nikole and Robert Torres, Lance Young, Robert and Frances Farrell, Lindsay Young and fiancé Jessie Scussell, Kodi Martinez, Kamerin Martinez and fiancé Edwin Arocho, Kaleb York, great grandchildren Aria and Logan, many nieces and nephews in New Hampshire, her sister in law Maria Yolanda Martinez and all of the Martinez family, her friend Donna Losty, many other friends and several furry family members.
Hope will be remembered by her family and friends with love and gratitude. She chose to forgo a funeral service and instead wished for her family and friends to remember her as they choose.
