Irene C. (Remillard) Langan, of Feeding Hills MA, entered eternal life on Saturday, February 11, 2023. Born February 25, 1935 in Hartford CT, to the late Leo J. and Maren (Cook) Remillard, Irene was the devoted wife to her husband of 68 years, the late Thomas H. Langan JR. and mother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Irene diligently and lovingly helped provide for her family working in the Traffic department of Hallmark Cards for 15 years, retiring in 1990. After retirement, Irene and her husband lived in Vermont, Florida and most recently, Feeding Hills. Irene, an avid New England sports fan, never missed watching her beloved Red Sox games. She was a “green thumb” gardener and an outstanding cook. Always ready to stick her toes in the sand, she loved going to the beach. Irene leaves behind her children: Thomas H Langan III and wife Katherine of Hampton GA, Linda A Madej and husband Thom of Summerville SC, Denise M Langan of Enfield CT, Edward and wife Darlene of Amston, CT, and Joyce M. Morante of Holliston MA., her grandchildren Arin L Wytas, Thomas H Langan IV, Sean Langan, Lindsay Madej, Justin Madej, Amanda Langan, Edward Langan, Michael Morante, Kevin Morante, Brian Morante, and her great granddaughters Rylee Morante and Kaia Morante. Irene is survived by her siblings Frances Messanger of Florida and June Ovit of West Virginia. She was predeceased by her siblings Walter Remillard, Beverly Glynn, Virginia Robinson, Patricia Friss and Leo Remillard. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm followed by a Prayer Service at Browne Memorial Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield CT.
