Obituary for Jacob Casey Pauze

Jacob Casey Pauze was born February 19th, 2004 in Hartford, CT to Christy Golen and Billy Pauze. He was raised in the close-knit community of Longmeadow, MA. He attended Wolf Swamp Elementary and Glenbrook Middle School with his closest friends, Sam, Will, and Owen. He was involved in a myriad of extracurricular activities such as Art Club, Makerspace, Football and Mathlethes, where he accompanied his team to the state championship. His true passions were drumming and skiing, where he excelled at both. He graduated from 8th grade with the Music Award of Excellence in drumming. Which led to his band with friends from town. He also went on to become an adept skier, joining the ski team in high school. His aspiration was to be an electrical engineer, because of his admiration for tools and machinery. One accomplishment that he was proud of was he built a dirt bike from used parts.
Jake loved his family, he was very close to his Mema and Papa, going to church and having Sunday dinners with them. On his afternoons he especially liked to ride around with his Papa and go to the Pawn Shop. He spent most of his winter Saturdays on Magic Mountain with his stepdad Gregg, and his step-sisters Jackie and Leah, or mountain biking in the warmer months. Jake enjoyed his holidays with his father’s family, Nana and Memere. He was a larger-than-life big-brother to Brody and Raelene.
He died on Saturday, July 17, 2021. He leaves behind friends and family who adored him, and broken-hearted to go on without him.
Relatives and friends may join his family on Friday, July 30, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at Browne Memorial Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT.
