Jane M. (Messier) Dewey, 90 entered into the spiritual realm on Thursday, June 15, 2023. Jane was born on August 19,1932 in Norwalk, CT, daughter of the late James and Ora V. (Colburn) Messier. She had two older sisters Ruth (Messier) Noyes and Doris (Messier) Behan both lived in California. Jane spent her childhood in the Springfield, MA area. Graduated from Springfield Tech High School and shortly after married her late husband of 67 years, Raymond F. Dewey which later they resided in Enfield, CT for the remaining years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who was a dedicated and devoted homemaker. Jane was shy, sweet, and an artist. Her art showed thru her paintings, sewing, baking, and gardening, she loved any type of crafts. Loved flowers, animals, mostly cats, She wore sweatshirts with cats on them often. She was involved in the community and surrounded herself with a wonderful group of longtime friends which she loved playing cards or doing crafts with. Jane leaves behind her children; David Dewey & wife Erin, Steven Dewey & wife Barbara, Laurie (Dewey) Karalekas & husband Dan, Randymarie (Dewey) Valente Simpson, her grandchildren; Raquel (Valnte) Gaudette, Robyn M. Valente, Randy R. Simpson, James Karalekas, Kelly (Karalekas) Temkin, Cory Karalekas-Page, Sandra Karalekas, Alexis M. Marshall, and many great grandchildren. She also leaves behind cousin Philmore Colburn and several nieces and nephews. Jane will be greatly missed, and in our hearts forever. Rest In Peace. Peace and Love, the family. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Park St. Springfield, MA.
