Obituary for Jean P. Saso (Pribula)
Jean P. (Pribula) Saso, 86, of Enfield, entered into eternal life, on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT, with loved ones at her side. Jean was the beloved wife of 57 years to the late Louis J. Saso and daughter of the late Frank and Minnie (Stefko) Pribula. Jean was born on March 15, 1932 in Forest City, PA, where she grew up and resided in Enfield since 1956. She was a member of the AMVETS POST #18, women’s auxiliary and communicant of St. Martha Parish, Enfield. A devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister and aunt, she dedicated her life to caring for her loving family.
In her leisure time she enjoyed time spent with family and at the Senior Citizen Center, playing cards, watching birds, and “Skipper” her cat.
Jean is survived by her three loving children; Lynn McNutt of Springfield, MA, Diane C. Bellon & her husband Peter of Enfield, and Louis F. Saso & his wife Kimberley of Wilbraham, MA, her eight beloved grandchildren, Dan & Tyler McNutt, Erin, Amber & Becky Bellon and Stephen, Louis and Lauren Saso, and four cherished great grandchildren, Cayden, Isabella, Mackenzie and Stephen of which all were her pride and joy, along with many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband Louis and her parents, she was also predeceased by four brothers, Frankie, Joseph, Raymond and Robert Pribula.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Chapels. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 21, with a service at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 518 Carew St. Springfield, MA, 01104.
