Obituary for Jeanette Vesce (Charest)

ENFIELD – Jeannette (Charest) Vesce, 97, entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 21, 2020 in Hartford Hospital. Born on December 23, 1922 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Malvina (Deziel) Charest, a lifelong resident of Enfield and a 1940 graduate of Enfield High School. She was an avid Red Sox and UConn Basketball Team fan. Jeannette worked for Traveler’s Insurance, the former Bigelow Sanford Carpet Company and retired from the Springborn Group, formerly DeBell & Richardson, Inc. in 1984 and was a member of the D & R twenty-five-year club. Her husband, Joseph H. Vesce died in 1944. She was also predeceased by a sister and her husband, Rita and Sylvio Caplette, a brother, Norman Charest, two brothers-in-law, Angelo Vesce and Paul Brazeau, a nephew, Joe Vesce, and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Mickey) Charest and Rose Vesce. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Rosemarie Brazeau and many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Jeannette’s family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at Parkway Pavilion for the excellent care they gave to her. The funeral will be Monday at 11am at St. Patrick’s Church, 64 Pearl Street followed by burial in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery.
