Joan A. (Crawford) Plonski, of South Windsor, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 30, 2022. She was the beloved wife of 41 years to John Plonski, Jr. Joan was born on December 27, 1960 in Stafford, CT to the late Charles and Barbara (Cole) Crawford. She had resided in Enfield for many years and most recently in South Windsor. Prior to retiring in 2012 Joan was employed with Aetna Insurance Co. for 20 years. A member of a bowling league scoring a 299 game having had a 190 average for the season and 699 series for 3 games. She loved reading, dancing and spending time with her daughters and granddaughters. She also loved spending time with her sister Mary and twin sister Jean, as well as her brother and sister-in-law Ron and Sue Oswell. Many thanks to Mary for all her care and efforts in Joan’s last years. In addition to her husband John, she also is survived by her two loving daughters Kristin Gianpoalo of South Windsor and Stephanie Plonski of Suffield, her two precious granddaughters Corina and Sofia Gianpoalo, along with 12 sibling and many nieces, nephews, and other family. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 in the Somers Center Cemetery, Somers, CT. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association CT Chapter, 200 Executive Blvd. Suite 4B Southington, CT 06489.
