Jody Raymond Bates, of Enfield, passed from his earthly journey on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the age of 46. Born on February 9, 1977 in Hartford, CT, a son of Philip Bates & his wife Linda and Barbara (LaBranche) Bates. Jody was a life long resident of Enfield and a graduate of Enrico Fermi H.S., Enfield. He was employed with Fountain Plating, West Springfield, MA. A passion for music, he started playing the bass guitar at 16 years old.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son Matthew Bates of Barre, VT, siblings, Timothy Bates & wife Winnie Kibbe of Ellington, Peter Olko & girlfriend Jennifer of Enfield, and Matt Bauckman & wife Jolene of Enfield, as well as other family & friends. He was predeceased by his uncle Lyal Bates.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield.
