Obituary for Joseph A. LeBlanc

Joseph A. LeBlanc, 91, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Evergreen Health Care, Stafford, CT. He was the beloved husband of 52 years to the late Dora L. (LaJoie) LeBlanc. Born on July 7, 1929 in New Brunswick, Canada to the late Rodolphe and Nelida (Leger) LeBlanc. He had resided in Enfield since 1973 and in Hartford before that. He served his country proudly with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Prior to retiring he was employed for many years as a carpenter with Local 43, Hartford. In his leisure time he enjoyed dancing and traveling. Joseph was a devout member of Holy Family Church, Enfield.
He is survived by his two sons Raymond LeBlanc and his wife Linda, of Enfield and Michael LeBlanc and Darla of Willis, TX, his eleven grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He is also survived by a sister Rosemonde M. Maillet of Shediac, N.B., Canada, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his wife and parents, Joe was predeceased by a son in April 2021 Gary LeBlanc, a grandson Tyrone “Ty” D. LeBlanc, and a granddaughter Janay LeBlanc, six sisters and three brothers. The family would like to thank all the staff at Evergreen Healthcare for all the love, care and support they gave Joe, especially Cathy.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 4 to 7 pm at Browne Memorial Chapels. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 19, 2021 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Family Church (St. Jeanne Jugan Parish) 23 Simon Rd. Enfield (Meet at church). Burial will at the convenience of the family in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the CT Children’s Medical Ctr. 282 Washington St. Hartford, CT 061006 or the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011.
