Kathleen Schwab, 92 of Enfield, beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother passed away
peacefully on Sunday, January 29, 2023. Kathleen was born in Fitchburg, MA to the late Lillian and George Bergeron on Nov. 6, 1930. She was predeceased by her siblings, Mary, Doris, Evelyn, George and Ernest Bergeron. Kathleen leaves her former husband Charles Schwab whom she remained great friends with
throughout her life. Kathleen received three Associates degrees from Asnuntuck Community College obtaining her third at the age of 72. She was an active participant in ACC community serving as Vice President and Secretary of the Student Senate for many years. Her passion was the theater and she was involved in many plays either behind /or on stage. It was her joy! Kathleen was a parishioner and active member of St. Patrick’s Church where she taught CCD and English as a second language. She loved photography,travel, the beach, especially Newport and family vacations at Hampton Beach. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her life and she was a pillar of strength to her family.
Kathleen is survived by her seven children, Stephen Schwab, and his wife Mary of Windsor Locks; Karen Celentano and her husband Al; Denyse Hickson and her husband Dennis; Tammy Schwab, Timmy Schwab and his wife Cindy; Thomas Schwab and Treavor Schwab all of Enfield. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren, Heather Hickson-Vega and her husband Richard; Heidi Schwab; Amber Hickson and her partner Aaron Lewis; Dee Marie Griffin; Paul Schwab and his wife Libby; Jonathan Celentano and his partner Brittany Demers; Maxx Schwab and his partner Kari Dennis; Taylor Schwab and her partner Thomas Lott; Makena and Kyana Schwab. Great-grandchildren Tatiana, Trenton, Jacob and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd. in Enfield on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, from 4 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, 64 Pearl St., in Enfield on Friday, Feb. 3, at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, King St., in Enfield.
