Obituary for Keith L. Nutter

SPRINGFIELD – Keith L. Nutter, 69, passed away on February 5, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Northfield, VT on September 9, 1951 to the late Rowane and his wife Sylvia Nutter and Alta Knapp Nutter. Keith will be deeply missed by his loving wife and best friend, Terry, with whom he enjoyed thirty-nine wonderful years. Keith was raised in Enfield and attended Enfield schools. After school, Keith proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1972-1978 on the USS Trenton (LPD 14). Keith enjoyed sharing stories with fellow veterans and those with a listening ear. He was a member of the AmVets and the American Legion Post #80. Prior to his retirement, Keith was employed by the Town of Enfield for twenty-two years in multiple positions. During retirement, his greatest joy was the time spent with his grandchildren supporting them and forming special bonds with each of them. He loved working on projects and having adventures with his grandson and best buddy William Marone. Keith enjoyed his travel adventures with Terry along with riding his motorcycle, fishing and hunting. He especially enjoyed his trips to Maine hunting with his brother Mike and special nephew Jeremie Nutter. His biggest enjoyment was the joy he was able to bring to so many, young and old, at Christmas time when he was everyone’s Santa. Besides his wife, Terry (Mahon) Nutter, Keith leaves his daughters, Jennifer Nutter Marone, Cindy Nutter Kinney and her husband Christopher, his grandchildren, Brianna and William Marone, Sylvia and Harper Kinney all of Enfield, his siblings, Mike and his wife Marita, Susan Spaulding and her husband Skip, Vanessa Nutter Bruce all of Maine, and his wife’s family, many nieces, nephews and friends. The funeral will be Monday, February 15, 2021 at 11am at the Browne Memorial Chapels, 43 Shaker Road followed by burial in St. Patrick’s King Street. Calling hours will precede the service on Monday from 9 – 11am at the funeral home.
