Obituary for Larry Edward Graef
On Wednesday, February 9, 2022, Larry Edward Graef, beloved husband of 53 years of Judith Elizabeth (Elliott) Graef, passed away at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield at the age of 76.
Larry was born on July 16, 1945, in Rochester, NY, a son of Elmer and Gertrude (Hutchins) Graeff, he was one of ten children. He lived in Rochester, NY and Hallendale, FL, graduating from South Broward High School in Hollywood, FL. Larry later served his country honorably as an Airman in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a Telecommunications Specialist for over 20 years at ABB and most recently for 10 years at Phoenix Mutual, before retiring. Larry enjoyed volunteering his services to the many different programs sponsored by several local churches, that included Bethany Assembly of God in Agawam, Life Church in Granby, CT, Faith Chapel in Enfield and Enfield Senior Center, Enfield.
He leaves his wife, Judith of Enfield, and three sons, Adam, Daniel, and Bradley all of Enfield, CT, cherished grandchildren, Morgan, Aaron, and Abigail, great grandchildren, Lilli and Colton.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 7 brothers and 2 sisters.
A committal service with military honors will be held for Larry on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hazardville Cemetery in Enfield, CT with military honors. There are no calling hours. Browne Memorial Chapels has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry’s name may be made to Between Bridges Ministry, P.O. Box 601 Feeding Hills, MA 01030.
