Obituary for Lauretta P. "Peggy" Stebbins (Perry)

Lauretta “Peggy” “Mom” “Grammy” Stebbins died very peacefully at home in Enfield in her warm bed. Peggy was holding hands with her son while he told her we all love her, and it was ok to go. She was born Sept. 4,1932. She passed 4,24,2024. Born in Wales Mass. to the late Herb and Lauretta Perry. Oldest of 6 children. She had just lost her brother Stuart in January. She leaves sister Beverly Murray. Brother Dawes Perry and wife Linda. Brother George Perry and wife Pat, and sister Alyce Gould. Peggy and her siblings had 22 kids all together. Aunt Peg knew all their birthdays. And all received birthday cards every year as kids. Right Craig? What fun was had at the Sunday family picnics. She married Miles Stebbins who sadly passed in 1998 and had 5 children. Son Niles sadly passed in 2011. Son Danny. Son George Jr. passed in 1954. Daughter Beverly “Janie” sadly passed in 2013. And son Todd. Peggy’s kids gave her 11 grandchildren. Laurisa husband Steve, Jason wife Kristie, Michele husband Mike, Rebecca with Bobby, Danielle, Nathan wife Barb, Lauren, Maggie husband Mark, Christopher, Kyle and Kassidy. These kids have so far given Grammy 14 great grandkids. Jake, Cody, Olivia, Payten, Elle, Miles, Kellen, Adam, Derek, Max, Theo, Athena, Hailey, and just last month, Elora Lennon. All lovingly called her Grammy. Summers at China Lake! Great memories for all. If you look up “perfect Grammy”, a picture of Peggy will pop up. Peggy leaves her very special daughter-in-law Linda who was her other daughter for 54 yrs. Linda was with Peggy everyday. Danny’s wife Cathy, her fashion consultant. Todd’s wife Tina, Peg would say “there’s my girl!!” Peg would say to Todd, “you better keep this one”. They loved each other so very much. Also, thanks to Brie for all your love and support for Miss Peggy. Steve for all your visits. “Hi Stevie” she would say. Jaiden, thanks for always going in and saying hello to Grammy. Thank you, Joe, Linda’s husband, for all your help. Peg says “hi Joe”. Max and Boots, for taking long naps with Grammy at her feet. Thanks, Jon for your visit. It meant so much. There are hundreds that loved Peggy, and she loved all of you. I wish I could list everyone Peggy cared for. Thank you all so very much for the beautiful memories. Relatives and friends may gather with her family on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 10:00 to 12:00 at Browne Memorial Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd Enfield CT. Burial will follow in the Wales Cemetery No. 4, Wales MA.
