Was away when I heard the news. Larry was a great guy; we worked together on VITA taxes and he was certainly my mentor. However, we also enjoyed each other and had a great time kidding and 'needling' each other (easier when one is about the same age). I missed him already this year

My sincerest condolences for your loss - a loss for all of us. I met Larry about 8 years ago as part of the VITA program. He and I prepared taxes together at Masonicare in Wallingford for years and enjoyed each other's company and the clientele that came to the site. I like to think that our friendly banter made people more comfortable during the tax preparation process. Larry was one of a kind. He brought compassion and knowledge to the process that made people confident in our services. I regret that just today I heard of Larry's passing. We spoke earlier this year and he told me of his failing health and his withdrawal from the tax preparation process. I speak about Larry often and will miss our occasional calls. He was a good friend and a kind man.

I have been thinking of Larry since I moved to CT and tried to reach out a few times, but didn't try hard enough. He and I met through Uncle Marty out in California maybe 20 years ago. Spending time with Larry was always a hoot. He was funny, sweet, and had a great laugh. I am sending my love to everyone and feel terrible I didn't know about the services until when they were actually happening. My husband, daughter, and I would have attended.

My prayers for comfort to the family at this time. Larry was my brother in law. I spent time with him and Betty in CO, CA and also in Germany. He has a great sense of humor and was always kind. So sorry for your loss Clayton.
