Obituary for Lillian Jatkevicius (Miller)

Lillian (Miller) Jatkevicius, 95, of West Virginia and formerly of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 24, 2021 in Kearneysville, WV. She was the beloved wife of the late William E. Jatkevicius. Born in Stafford, CT on March 8, 1926 to the late Samuel and Clara (Palshaw) Miller, as a young girl she grew up in Rockville, and graduated from Rockville H.S. and lived most of her life in Enfield. Prior to retiring in 1988 Lillian was a RN and head of the NICU at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Hartford for many years. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother she dedicated her life to caring for her family and home, her greatest joy in life was spending time with them. Lillian was an avid Red Sox and UCONN Huskies fan, she also enjoyed her bingo.
Lillian is survived by two daughters Jan Mancini of Williston, VT and Karen McCullough of Martinsburg, WV and husband Edward, two sons William Jatkevicius and wife Patricia of Somers, CT and James Jatkevicius and wife Ann Marie of Hillsboro, OR, her 7 beloved grandchildren Jeffrey Olesky, Jana Olesky, Carla Yarbrough, Leland Jatkevicius and Kelsey Carter, and Andrew and Ryan Train, her 11 cherished great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Lillian was also predeceased by two sisters Mildred Lemire and Dorothy Jones.
Funeral services for Lillian with a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021at 10:00 am in St. Patrick’s Church (St. Raymond of Penafort Parish) her family will receive relatives and friends prior to the Mass from 8:30 to 9:30 am at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield. Interment will take place following the Mass in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the St. Francis Foundation 95 Woodland St. 2nd FL, Benefit the NICU, Hartford, CT 06105.
