Obituary for Lucille E. Giguere (Brunelle)

Lucille E. (Brunelle) Giguere, 90, of S. Glastonbury and formerly of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 12, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry A. Giguere. Born February 10, 1933 in Woonsocket, RI, the daughter of the late Richard and Eva (Plouffe) Brunelle. She had resided in Enfield for 31 years, Vero Beach, FL for 13 years, South Windsor 12 years and in Glastonbury the past 6 years. Prior to retiring in 1992 Lucille was employed for 7.5 years with Steiger’s Department Store. She was a member of St. Martha Church, Enfield. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing bingo, walking and shopping.
Lucille is survived by her loving children; Richard Giguere and wife Lani of Longmeadow, MA, Suzanne Gleason and husband Brian of Coventry, Donald Giguere and wife Lynn of Easley, S. Carolina, and Paul Giguere and wife Jennifer of S. Glastonbury, her 10 beloved grandchildren and 16 cherished great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings; Pauline Cotnoir, Normand Brunelle, Juliette Daigle, Julien Brunelle and Robert Brunelle, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Albert Brunelle and a sister Doris Marcotte.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family during a visitation period on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield, a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 am in St. Martha Church (St. Jeanne Jugan Parish) Enfield. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield.
