Obituary for Mabel C. Perillo (Chapman)

Mabel (Chapman) Perillo, of Enfield entered peacefully into Eternal Life at the age of 93, on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years Louis A Perillo. Mabel was born in Fall River, MA on June 21, 1928, and resided in Enfield for over 50 years.

Mabel’s strong commitment to family was always a priority in her life. She made numerous personal sacrifices to ensure that her families’ needs were always put ahead of her own. She always made holidays & birthdays a special occasion for all family members. We could never repay her for all she has done for us. She instilled values that we still implement today. When her children were older, she went back to work and was well known as a cashier at both Steiger’s and Cohoes, both in Enfield. Thanks to these jobs, Mabel always kept her family well dressed.

In 2003, she retired for good, to enjoy time with her husband and family. Mabel and her husband traveled often, and she really enjoyed her yearly trips to Florida for Mets Spring Training as well as trips to Arizona and Hawaii. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Mabel is survived by her son Jeff Perillo and his wife Blanche of Vernon, CT, her son Mike Perillo and his girlfriend, Rae Kangas, both of Plainville, CT, her daughter Gina (Perillo) Sullivan and her husband Mike of Enfield, CT and her beloved grandsons, Michael Perillo II, Jake and Anthony Sullivan.

Mabel’s family would like to thank the entire staff of Meadowbrook of Granby for their considerate and compassionate care over these past 6 plus years.

Services will be private, at the family’s request. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association, in Mabel’s name
