Obituary for Mabel R. Provost (Reese)
Mabel R. (Reese) Provost, 95, or Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 24, 2022. She was the beloved wife of 28 years to the late Raymond R. Provost. Born on February 21, 1927 in East Hartford, CT to the late Eugene and Helen (Taylor) Reese. She had resided in Enfield for the past 62 years and in East Hartford before that. Mabel was a graduate of East Hartford H.S. Prior to retiring in 1987 Mabel was employed with Aetna Insurance for 15 years. In her leisure time she enjoyed crocheting, and was an avid Red Sox fan.
Mabel is survived by a son Ronald Provost, of Enfield, two daughters Lynn Hasbrouck & husband Robert of Springfield, MA, and Frances Provost of Enfield, along with six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter Winifred Abodeeb and a son Robert Provost. Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Monday, August 29, 2022 from 9:00 to 11:00 am, followed by a Prayer Service at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield. Interment to take place in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Beacon Hospice Program, 111 Flounders Plaza #1802 Hartford, CT 06108.
