Margaret Sophie Kopacsy-Sisk, beloved daughter of Mary A. Socha and the late Tim J. Kopacsy, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 29, at the family beach house in Saco, ME, at the age of 40.
Margaret, “better known as Maggie”, was born on February 5, 1981 in Springfield, MA, she was raised and educated in Suffield and was a graduate of Suffield High School in 1999.
She attended and graduated from Asnuntuck Community College and later received her bachelor’s degree from Western New England College.
Margaret was a legal assistant for over 17 years at the Law Offices of Mary A. Socha.
She loved all types of animals especially her beloved American Bulldog, Douglas.
Margaret also enjoyed her family trips to the beach house in Saco, ME, and the peacefulness she felt at the beach. Margie was passionate about music of all generations, reading and writing, especially poetry and loved art and drawing.
She was predeceased by her father, Tim in 2012, her grandparents, John and Sophie Socha, and by her aunt, Francine Roberts. Margaret leaves her loving mother, Mary of Suffield, and sisters, Kristina Kopacsy of Suffield, Tracey Kopacsy of Tolland, CT, and Gabrielle Gagner and her husband, James of Windsor Locks, nephew, Gage DeJesus and niece, Maddix DeJesus, and baby Christian all of Suffield, and by her canine “best” friend, Douglas.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, June 3, for calling hours for Margaret from 4-6:30 p.m. at Browne Memorial Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd., Enfield, CT, followed by a funeral home service at 6:30 p.m.
Committal prayers and burial for Margaret will be private in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Springfield, MA.
