Obituary for Marguerite S. DuPrey

Marguerite (Satryb) DuPrey, beloved wife of Roy DuPrey who predeceased her in 1987, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Evergreen Health Care in Stafford Springs, at the age of 102.
She was born on October 12, 1919 in Rockville, CT, a daughter of Bernhardt J. and Maria (Fisk) Satryb, she was a lifelong resident of Enfield.
Marguerite owned and operated “The French Poodle Dress Salon”, a ladies Specialty, for over 20 years, where she did custom dress designing. She was also employed by the former G. Fox & Co. for several years.
Marguerite was a Judge in the Enfield Miss America Preliminaries and was a commissioner on the Aging in Enfield.
She dabbled in Astrology and Graphology and was a published poet.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Peter R. Duprey, Sr. in 2012, granddaughter, Jennifer L. DuPrey in 2018, three brothers, Harry, William, and Bernhardt Satryb, and by three sisters, Gertrud Siuta, Lilyan Dyer, and Louise Mullen.
Marguerite leaves her daughter in law, Bonnie D. DuPrey of Perkinsville, VT, grandson, Peter R. Duprey, Jr. and his wife, Beth, great grandsons, Brian J., and Jacob P. DuPrey all of Windsor Locks, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Marguerite on Wednesday, January 5, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd., Enfield, CT. A private committal service will be held at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield, CT. There are no calling hours. Browne Memorial Chapels has been entrusted with the arrangements.
