Obituary for Marilyn C. Russell (Creelman)

Marilyn C. (Creelman) Russell, 91, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Life on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at the Suffield House. She was the beloved wife of 63 years to the late Charles “Skip” Russell (7/15/2012). Marilyn was born to the late C. Orville and Emily (McHale) Creelman on November 22, 1929 in Enfield, CT and was a lifelong resident. Prior to retirement, she was an Assistant Town Clerk in Enfield for many years. Marilyn was an avid Bridge player, Yahtzee player and a member of a bowling league. She loved to read and loved her family especially spending time with them during special occasions and holidays, loved her Red Sox, and to go dancing with her husband, Skip.
Marilyn is survived by her loving family, four children Roger Russell & wife Debra of Enfield, Wayne Russell & wife Kimberly of Eastford, Susan Main & Richard Gale of Mystic, Kenneth Russell (predeceased) & wife Nancy of Pembroke, MA, her beloved grandchildren Shawnna, Daryll, Kaitlyn, Kyle, Chelsea and Jaime, and cherished great grandchildren Mason, Alahna, Riley, Malakye, Jaxon and Jailyn. As well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Along with her parents, husband and son she was also predeceased by a brother James Ronald Creelman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 11:00 am in Holy Family Church 23 Simon Rd. Enfield of St. Jeanne Jugan Parish. Interment will take place in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery, Enfield. Memorial donations have been requested to be the NMS Society, 733 3rd Ave. 3rd floor, New York, NY 10017.
