Obituary

Mark Todd Percoski, 57 of Agawam, MA, passed away peacefully January 10, 2020 in Enfield, CT. Mark was born in Stafford Springs, CT on August 4, 1962 to Ernest J. Percoski & Diana M. Percoski of Enfield, CT. He was a graduate of Enfield High School.

Mark was a hard-working supervisor for decades at Valentine Plating Co, in West Springfield, MA. He was highly knowledgeable about home repair and remodeling. He utilized these home-building talents to great success in constructing his own home in Monson, MA. He went on to found his own remodeling business, specializing in repairs.

Mark loved to travel, cook, and enjoyed experiencing the foods of many cultures. He especially enjoyed seafood and oysters. Over the course of his life, he loved to fish & hunt. He was a member of R.I.M.S (Rhode Island Mobile Sportsman), a fishing and conservation club. In his earlier days, he loved riding motorcycles, and driving classic cars and trucks. He also loved racing and as a teenager he participated in Demolition Derby races at Riverside Park (now known as Six Flags New England) in Agawam, MA. He was a loyal Minnesota Vikings fan his entire life.

Mark loved his animals, especially his dachshund Goldie and his horse Paw, the latter he gifted to his step-daughter. With the help of his father and uncle, they constructed the stable and fencing for Paw.

Mark was friendly, personable, inquisitive and well-liked. He had a great sense of humor and was often a lot of fun to be with. He was deeply loved by his family and many who knew him over his lifetime.

Mark found serenity whenever he was near the ocean. In his last few years, he made many trips to Stonington Borough, CT, and to Watch Hill, Rhode Island with his sister and nephew and later his girlfriend, making memories for them to always treasure.

Mark leaves his step-daughter Samantha Laitinen of Worcester MA, his girlfriend, Diane Vinesett of Agawam MA, his father Ernest Percoski of Enfield CT, his mother Diana Percoski and her companion William Strumpfler of Enfield CT, his sister Linda Percoski of Enfield CT, and his nephew David Carmona of Enfield CT. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, many cousins and friends.

Mark was so loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions in Mark's memory may be made to the St. Edmonds Retreat Recovery Program, Enders Island P.O. Box 399 Mystic, CT 06355 .https://www.endersisland.org/tribute

Mark was so loving and caring to my mom when she was sick and I know at that very moment she was there to take him by that hand and take him home .

My deepest sympathy and condolences to Mark’s family and all who loved and cared about Mark.
Mark had many wonderful qualities, abilities and interests that we were able to share.
He had a generous, loving heart, lots of energy, a beautiful smile, an amazing cook an enjoyment of music and nature. The list would be endless.
He shared his loving heart with me.
One of the things he was gifted with and enjoyed (mostly....) was was making or putting things together.
I loved watching him work. He made it look so easy. He’d explain to me what he was doing. I’m in a higher learning curve because of this!!
He and my cat Elana-the Biter he called her were Loving frenemies. There was lot of laughter in this.
I enjoyed his company.
I treasure these memories and all the others.
Mark was loved by me, and will be forever.
He will always have a special place in my heart.

Mark always worked hard for so many years! Mark always took care of his loved ones and they never had to go without. He had a great sense of humor and so many friends . He loved to dance, He loved to cook , He loved to travel . Mark was a very kind and generous person . My mother was so grateful to have had such a wonderful son in law and he gave her the best years of her life , He had so much compassion for her well being and for that I was forever great-full . Mark faced many difficulties the last couple years of his life but that does not defined the man he was ! I will miss you Mark and you will always have a special place in my heart ❤️
