Mary Ethel (Travis) Franciamore, 90, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Life, on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Stonebrook Village, Windsor Locks, CT. She was the beloved wife of 39 years to the late Guido J. Franciamore. Mary was born on June 6, 1928 in Davidson, OK to the late Eugene and Sarah (Boyle) Travis. She was a graduate of Davidson, OK High School, and had been a resident of Enfield for 78 years. Prior to retiring as a supervisor in 1986, Mary was employed with Stanadyne Manufacturing for many years and with Bigelow Sanford Carpet Co. before that. She was a member of CSEA, Stanadyne Retirees, AARP, Mt. Carmel Women’s Auxiliary and the Morning Glories Golf League. Mary enjoyed sewing and was an expert seamstress, loved dancing and was an avid golfer, but her greatest joy was time with her family.
She will be greatly missed by her loving daughter, Sheila F. Vasseur of Enfield, her beloved grandchildren, Dawn Bond of Westfield, MA, Jannine Vasseur of Cape Coral, FL and Mark J. Vasseur of Somers, her seven cherished great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and sister Judie (Travis) Stover of Dallas, TX, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her grandson Sean R. Vasseur, a great granddaughter Trinity Purcell, three brothers and four sisters.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 with the funeral procession forming at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Patrick’s Church, (St. Raymond of Penafort Parish) Enfield for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery, Enfield.
