Mary (Colgan) Pierz, 79, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 16, 2021. She was the beloved wife of 57 years to Steven A. Pierz. Born on October 18, 1942 in Springfield, MA to the late Francis and Helen (Browne) Colgan. Mary resided in Enfield for the past 70 years. She was a graduate of Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Enfield and continued her education at AIC, Springfield, MA. Mary retired from Marcus Insurance Agency, Wethersfield, CT after 20+ years of service. She was a Girl Scout Troop Leader, volunteered at ADRC, and enjoyed working with family and friends at Crands Candy Castle, Enfield for many years. Mary loved the beach and especially trips to Marco Island, playing slot machines at the casinos and online.
In addition to her husband, Mary is also survived by her two daughters Erin Pierz-Gaudet & husband Mark of Enfield and Eileen Pierz and spouse Michael McMann of Springfield, MA, her four beloved grandchildren; Evan, Emmalie, Avery and Mackenzie, along with her sister Eileen Murray & husband John of Old Saybrook, CT, a niece Sheila Harringon , a nephew Michael Harrington, a great niece and three great nephews.
Relatives and friends may gather during calling hours on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021 at 10:00 am in St. Patrick Church, St. Raymond of Penafort Parish, Enfield. Please meet directly at church.
