Obituary for Matthew Daniel Keegan
Matthew Daniel Keegan, of Stafford, passed from his earthly journey on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at the age of 32, Born February 12, 1990 in Springfield, MA, he was the son of Laurie (Desplaines) Keegan and the late Ward A. Keegan, Jr. (2014). He was a graduate of East Windsor, H.S., East Windsor, CT and also resided in Stafford. He was a huge foodie and although he couldn’t cook, he was a chef in his own mind. Matthew had a passion for music, and was an avid NY Giants Football, NY Yankees, and Boston Celtics fan.
In addition to his mother, Laurie, he is also survived by a brother Ryan Keegan, a sister Elizabeth Keegan, both of Stafford, nephew Patrick Keegan of Brookline, NH, his paternal grandmother Noella Keegan of Enfield, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins and his dearest friends; Madeline Craig of E. Windsor, Dale Nasuta of Vernon, Evan Springer of Springfield, MA and Sarah Betz of Wales, MA. Besides his father Ward, he was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Ward A. Keegan, Sr. and his maternal grandmother Patricia Desplaines and pepe Edward Desplaines.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Matthew on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 11:30 am in St. Bernard Church (St. Jeanne Jugan Parish), 426 Hazard Ave. Enfield, CT. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations in his name be made to Make-A- Wish Foundation -CT, 56 Commerce Dr, Trumbull, CT 06611.
