Obituary for Mauro Robert Monopoli

Mauro Robert Monopoli, of Enfield, passed from this earthly journey, at the age of 57, on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 in the comfort of his home. Born on Oct. 7, 1964 in Worcester, MA to Elizabeth Rosetti and the late Frank Monopoli, and had resided in Enfield for the past 30 years. He was a graduate of Worcester Vocational H.S. Mauro was employed as an independent contractor for Thomas English Muffins for 25 years. He was an U.S. Army Veteran, having served from 1/85 to 1/88 a Sergeant with the 82nd Airborne. Mauro loved spending time with his family and friends, loved riding motorcycles, enjoyed trips to Costa Rica, but most importantly loved spending most of his free time with his dog “Monkey”.
Mauro is survived by his loving wife Lily (Monlina) Monopoli, beloved son and daughter-in-law Mauro & Carli Monopoli of Enfield, his cherished grandsons Anthony, Leo and Mauro Robert, Jr. Monopoli. He is also survived by two sisters Linda (Monopoli) Magnuson of Worcester, MA and Betty Anne Masiello of MA, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Besides his father Frank, he was also predeceased by a son Anthony Monopoli and a brother Frank Monopoli.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Sunday, June 5, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, followed by a funeral home service at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield. Interment will be at the convenience of family in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield,
