Michael J. Zuraw, Sr., 62, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at home. He was born on February 26, 1957 in Manchester, CT son of the late Henry Zuraw and Constance (Zelonis) Zuraw Trask. He resided in Enfield for most of his life and also in Florida and Tennessee and was a graduate of Glastonbury H.S. Vo-Ag in 1974. Before retiring he was employed with the Town of Enfield for over 10 years as a dispatcher and in various department. Michael enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and his dogs. He volunteered with the Enfield Fish & Game and with the North Thompsonville Fire Department for many years.
He is survived by his son Michael J. Zuraw, Jr. & wife Jennie of Enfield and daughter Kate Zuraw of Salem, MA and their mother Maryellen Zuraw Burr of Enfield, his brother Tom Zuraw, as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Frank Zuraw, a sister Patricia Zuraw and an aunt & uncle Edna and Charlie Gill.
Relatives and friends may gather on Friday, November 29, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. for a visitation and remembrance period at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield.
