Obituary for Nancy P. Barry (Doiron)

Nancy Pauline Barry (Doiron) of Enfield, beloved wife of the late Robert B. Barry for 55 years passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Suffield House. She was born in Hartford, CT. on March 11, 1930, the daughter of the late Henry and Aurelie Doiron. Bob and Nancy moved from Hartford to Enfield to raise their children and stayed for the remainder of their lives. They were original parishioners of Holy Family Church. As her children grew up, Nancy worked in a children's clothing store and later retired from Windsor Locks Savings and Loan. Nancy enjoyed playing bingo with friends at Holy Family Church and St. Joseph's school and occasional visits to the casino. After retirement, Bob and Nancy enjoyed traveling, especially Nancy's dream cruise to Hawaii. They also cherished visits to Florida and Ohio to attend their grandchildren's graduations and weddings.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her beloved son, Thomas Barry as well as her brother Joseph Doiron and her sister Marie Claire Pouech. She is survived by her brothers Henry and Gerard Doiron of Florida, her daughters and their spouses, Deborah Holeman (Donald) of Enfield, Kathleen Schwartz (Jeffrey) of Twinsburg Ohio, Patricia Kelly (Michael) of Fort Myers Florida and a son Daniel Barry of Twinsburg Ohio. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private with burial at St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery, Enfield. Browne Memorial Chapels is caring for her arrangements.
