Obituary for Patricia "Pat" Olsen (Chappell)

Patricia Olsen, a 62-year resident of Enfield Connecticut passed away on Saturday surrounded by family and friends. The matriarch of the Olsen family, Pat raised 6 children in the Green Manor section of town and then worked for the State of Connecticut labor Division, Enfield Nursing Home and the Stafford Grocery Co-Op Store taking care of the books for 30 years.
A proud member of the Red Hat Rejects Club, Treasurer of the Laureate Tau Sorority, Quilting instructor, Enfield Library Friends, Enfield women’s club, Republican Town Committee and a winning bunco game player. A master gift wrapper, Enfield planning and zoning commission in the 80’s, Big Brothers board of directors, Brownie leader, Arts and Crafts teacher and the host of the annual Olsen Christmas Eve party since the late 1960’s with a long list of friends and neighbors coming year after year. Irreplaceable.
She is survived by her children Linda and Thomas Sheridan, Regina and Bob Thomka, Marybeth and Norm Godon, Roger Olsen Jr, and his wife Karen Huntoon, Caroline Olsen and Jon Olsen. A sister Rosemary Staba and Husband Joseph. She was married for 49 years to Roger Olsen who passed away in 2004. Predeceased by Frank and Florence Heinickel Chappell and Francis and Agnes Chappell.
Grandchildren: Tommy Sheridan, Nathan and Ashley Sheridan and Emily Sheridan. Elizabeth Rumore, Michelle Rumore and Charles Rumore. Daniele Godon DeCoteau, Carl Godon, Abigail Godon and Hanna Godon. Jordan Olsen and Seth Olsen.

Relatives and friends may gather with her family on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 10:00 am St. Jeanne Jugan Parish / St. Bernard Church, 426 Hazard Ave. Enfield. (Please go directly to church). Interment will take place in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield.
