Obituary for Patrick "PJ" J. "Pat" Filiault, Jr.

Patrick J. “PJ” Filiault, Jr. 66, of Ellington, CT, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. He was the beloved companion of many years to Nancy DeAlba. Patrick was born on Sept. 27, 1952 in Pittsfield, MA to the late Patrick J., Sr. and Beverly (Shea) Filiault.
He attended Holy Name – Classical H.S., Pat grew up in the Forest Park area of Springfield where he enjoyed playing sports. He was employed for 30 years with Gale Toyota in Enfield.
A passion for sports, Pat loved his N.E. Patriots, and Red Sox, and enjoyed watching the games over the years, as well as spending time with his family.
In addition to Nancy, he is survived by his two children, Michael P. Filiault of Enfield, CT, and Lisa Loveday & husband Nate of Somers, CT and former wife and mother of his children, Mary Lou Filiault of Somers, CT, his two cherished granddaughters, Leah & Hailey, his best friend (dog) Bailey. He is also survived by his siblings; Katherine Petelle & husband Jack of Granby, MA, William Filiault & wife Diane of Wilbraham, MA, Rosann Filiault & Gable Johnson of East Windsor, CT, and Anthony Filiault of Manchester, CT, his Goddaughter & niece, Toni Filiault of Wilbraham, MA, along with many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Michael Filiault and a nephew, Marcel Filiault.
Please feel free in joining us to celebrate Pat’s love of sports by wearing your favorite Boston sports apparel during a visitation period TODAY Friday, November 16, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield, CT. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 with the funeral procession forming at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial for Pat Filiault will take place at St. Bernard Church (St. Jeanne Jugan Parish) 426 Hazard Ave. Enfield, CT. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield, CT. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Pat’s memory may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) Fund, Dr. Glenn Hanna 450 Brookline Ave. Boston, MA 02215.
