Obituary for Paul L. Williams

Paul L. Williams, 82, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 25, 2022.
He was the beloved husband of the late Elaine (Wolodko) Williams. Born on July 23, 1940 in Springfield, MA to the late Nicholas and Estelle (Poulin) Williams. He was a lifelong resident of the community. Paul enlisted and served his country proudly from ’57 – ‘60 with the U.S. Army. Upon returning from the service Paul was employed with Battiston’s until he started his own business, Williams Engineering which he operated for over 40 years before retiring. In retirement he loved vegetable gardening and giving away tomato plants to family and friends.
He was well liked by his children’s friends and the neighborhood kids and enjoyed having them around, he would kid with them and try to teach them to say “bull sh** jokingly.”
Paul is survived by two sons Edward Williams and wife Kara of Montague, MA, and Richard Williams and wife Robbin of Enfield, two daughters Paula Williams of Enfield, and Nichole Williams and husband Keith Stefanik of Enfield, six grandchildren; Randy Williams, Racheal Williams, Jeremy Stefanik, Caleb, Jacob, Hunter & Summer Williams, great grandchildren; Mackenzie, Zoey, and Addison Williams. He is also survived by a brother Anthony Williams and wife Donna of Vermont, a brother-in-law Gerald DiMattia of Enfield, a sister-in-law Linda Wolodko of Enfield, and brother-in-law Ron Stegall of Florida, as well as many nieces and nephews, a special niece and goddaughter Andrea DiMattia. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a son Joseph Williams, two sisters Phyllis Michon, Patricia Stegall, three brothers, Richard Harvey, John Williams, and Peter Williams, a sister-in-law Irene DiMattia, and two brothers-in-law, Joseph and David Wolodko. The family would like to especially thank his care giver Jess Sherekow for the kind and wonderful care he received the past several yearsA Memorial Mass will be held for Paul on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 10:00 am in St. Martha Church 214 Brainard Rd. Enfield, CT.
