Obituary for Priscilla G. Chilone (Gingras )

Priscilla G. (Gingras) Chilone, 97, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest, on Monday, Dec. 12, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Residence, Enfield, with family at her side and the Little Sisters of the Poor praying for her. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Hardy, and Francis Chilone.
Born on June 30, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Blanche (Champagne) Gingras. Priscilla was a graduate of Bulkeley H.S. Hartford, CT. She had resided at St. Joseph’s Residence for the past 14 years and at Ella Grasso Manor before that. Prior to retiring in 1990, Priscilla employment was with Travelers Insurance Co., Pratt & Whitney, W.H. National Medical Homecare and retired from Windsor Medical Assoc. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Patrick Church and a member of St. Patrick’s Altar Society.
Priscilla is survived by her loving family; a daughter Susan LaVoie & husband Richard of Conway, S.C., two sons, William Hardy & wife Barbara of CT, and David Hardy & wife Deborah of Covington, GA, eleven grandchildren; Cory, Alex, Tyler and Brianna LaVoie, Thomas Hardy, Jr., Brock, Nicholas and Kaitlynn, Dan Egerton, Rocky Otto and Trish Lopez, ten great grandchildren; Emma, Ethan, Aria, TJ, Tabatha, Leam, Connor, Kelly, Alisa, and Amanda, great-great grandchild, Isabella. As well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by a son Thomas Hardy, a brother Omer Gingras and a sister Thema “Penny” Lawson.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family on Monday December, 19 from 9:30 to 10:30 at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am in St. Patrick Church, Enfield. Interment will be held in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Residence/ Little Sister’s of the Poor, 1365 Enfield Street, Enfield, CT 06082.
