Obituary for Raymond "Ray" F. Myott

Raymond “Ray” F. Myott, 80, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 21, 2022. He was the beloved husband to “his bride” the late Gail (Repole) Myott. Born on September, 30, 1942 in Springfield, MA, the son of the late Norman and Elaine (Hitchcock) Myott. Ray was a lifelong resident of Enfield and a graduate of Enfield H.S., Enfield. He served his country proudly with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Prior to retirement he was formerly employed as a foreman with Colts Firearms, and the owner & operator of Myott’s Package Store for 40 years and RFM Firearms. Ray was a member of the Somers Sportman’s Club, the NRA, a friend of “Bill W” and a Lieutenant with the Enfield Fire Department.
Ray is survived by his loving daughter Denise Oswell & fiancé Benjamin Stahouski of Enfield, his two beloved granddaughters Mindy Oswell and Kacey Boucher & husband Andrew, his cherished great grandchildren Harley, Dakota & Kane Pistritto and Landon Boucher. Along with a brother-in-law Buddy Burke, a special sister-in-law & brother-in-law Nancy & Pat Cummings, and Good Friend Bert Trowbridge, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a brother Gordon Myott, a sister Carolyn Burke and a grandson-in-law Shawn Pistritto.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield. Funeral services will take place on Monday, October 31, 2022 with the procession forming at the funeral home for 9:30 am to Holy Family Church (St. Jeanne Jugan Parish) for a 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow with military honors in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield.
