Obituary

ENFIELD – Richard N. Dyer, 73, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Parkway Pavilion after a short illness. Born in Melrose, MA, son of the late Frank and Mary (Keese) Dyer, he lived in Enfield for many years. Prior to his retirement in 2003, Richard was employed as a quality engineer at Hamilton Standard for twenty-six years. He loved restoring old classic cars and feeding and watching the many woodpeckers, cardinals and varieties of birds in the yard. Planting a garden was a favorite pastime of his in the summer. He was quick with a joke or two to make others laugh. He leaves his wife of forty-six years, Theresa A. (Courtney) Dyer, a daughter and son-in-law, Courtney A. and Daniel M. Steben, a grandchild, Zoey Steben, all of Enfield, a sister-in-law, Carol Ann (O’Shea) Dyer of Enfield, a brother-in-law, John Mosson of Tewksbury, MA, and many nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by two brothers, Frank E. Dyer, Jr., Robert C. Dyer, and a sister, Shirley A. (Dyer) Mosson. All services are private. Terry and Courtney,
Nancy and I are are saddened to hear of Uncle Dicks Passing. I have many fond memories of things I've done with Dick either during the Holiday visits or when he worked with my dad at the gas station in the 70's. He was very smart, and extremely funny person. I will miss the jokes and e-mails he would send of all topics. All the crazy animal and backyard bird pics. He will be missed.
Attached is a picture of the Dyers I found from before i was born. Dick is bottom right, ears like me! We have made a donation to the National Audubon Society in memory of Dick. Our deepest Condolences to you all. John and Nancy Mosson.
