Robert E. Croteau, 84, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 31, 2023. He was the beloved husband of 57 years to the late Beverly (Knarich) Croteau. Born on October 16, 1939 in Hartford, CT, the son of the late William and Edna (Frigon) Croteau. Bob was attended Enfield H.S. and a lifelong resident. Prior to retiring Bob was employed with Dexter/Ahlstrom after 20+ years of service. He enjoyed time spent with family especially with the grandchildren and camping with his wife Bev. As well as meeting up with friends at Dunkin Donuts.
Bob is survived by his two sons; Brian Croteau and wife Emilia of Simsbury, CT, and Christopher Croteau and wife Karen of West Springfield, MA, his three beloved grandchildren; Jacob and Collin Croteau and Nicole Parent, and two step grandchildren Sara Avery and Josh Learned. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a brother Bill Croteau.
The family will receive those wishing to pay their respects on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 10:00 am in Holy Family Church 23 Simon Rd. Enfield (Please go directly to the church). Interment will be private in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery, Enfield.
