Robert “Bob” P. Granger, 75, of Chicopee, MA, entered into eternal life on Thursday, March 17, 2022 in the comfort of his home with loved ones at his side. Born on March 27, 1946 in Holyoke, MA, son of the late John P. and Lucille (Beaudry) Granger. He attended St. Joan of Arc Grammar School and was a graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive H.S. and was a lifelong resident of Chicopee, MA. His employment consisted of being a truck driver from 1969 to 1982 and Police Officer with the Enfield Police Department from 1985 until retirement in 2007. Bob was a life member of the American Legion Post 337, Past County Commander, life member of the AMVETS Post 12, NRA, Holyoke Revolver Club, Chicopee Auxiliary Police, Lt., Hampden County Commander American Legion 1976, Army National Guard 1963-1969 Headquarters Co. 1/104 Westfield, Chicopee Memorial & Patriotic Committee, and President Aldenville Credit Union Board of Directors 1983-1984.
Bob is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law Christen & Timothy Bernardi of Chicopee, his adored and cherished granddaughters Annelise Beauchamp and Emilia Bernardi, along with several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Friends and relatives may gather on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Browne Memorial Chapels Enfield. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 23 with the procession forming at 8:45 am at the funeral home to St. Luke’s Greek Orthodox Church, E. Longmeadow, MA for a 10:00 am Service. Interment will follow with military honors in the Fairview Cemetery, Chicopee, MA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his name may be made to St. Luke’s Greek Orthodox Church, 400 Prospect St. E.
